On January 12th, selected customers and business partner were invited by IBM to contribute ideas and suggestions for the roadmap for IBM Notes/Domino. The #domino2025 jam session, held at IBM’S South Bank offices,  was the latest in a series of global events both live and virtual. As vastly experienced IBM (and Lotus) business partners Blue Sky were proud to be on the guest list our Patrick Lavan was only too happy to share his passionately informed thoughts!

The session was split into three categories: App Dev, Mail and Chat/Meetings. Based on IBM’s “Design Thinking” process, attendees were split into several groups and together brainstorm, discuss the new features they would like to see incorporated into the platform and share ideas on how to shape IBM’s future strategy for the platform.

Patrick says “I was impressed with the turnout from both customers and the business partner community and it was great to see level of passion and enthusiasm shown. There were some great discussions and really valuable insights and suggestions. Whilst I’m really excited about the recent announcement from IBM and believe it to be a very postitive step forward for the platform, I was keen to emphasise the unique features that make Notes/Domino such a compelling platform and why it’s still relevant in the collaboration and app dev marketplace. As ever, good to see some familiar faces and new ones too.”

As an IBM Partner, and the UK’s largest Domino hosting provider, Blue Sky are excited to be a part of this process and are committed to providing insights and vision for the platform.
