Despite having a title which provokes an uncomfortable feeling for anyone this side of the pond we had an interesting and dare I say entertaining time. But was it AWesome? In parts yes; it’s not exactly new but the concept of auto scaling and AWS’ implementation of it is great. Budget holders might not want to now give free reign to their techs without understanding the implications but if the application’s designed with auto scaling in mind the delivery capabilities are seemingly endless.
Overall the event wasn’t breaking new ground but covered a lot of topics and left us with some food for thought and has inspired some interesting office conversations around the remote management of AWS services we offer.
